Everyone seems to be going crackers about cheese boards these days!
The British public have been introduced to a far wider range of cheeses in recent
years -
They are now available in just about every shape, size, style and material you can think of as companies clamour for their share of the market.
Round, square, rectangular, heart-
Granite and marble cheese boards are very popular -
Boards are also available in a wide range of woods including beech, olive, hevea, oak and acacia, while other materials available include thermoplastic resin, bamboo, slate and stainless steel.
Rotating cheese boards are very popular these days, while others come complete with quality stainless steel cheese knives.
Large cheeseboards are commonplace in restaurants and hotels across the land, now that many diners plump for the cheese and crackers option after their main meal.
Some cheese boards consist of just the board itself, but the majority these days include a glass or strong plastic dome lid which helps to keep the cheese in prime condition.
A cheese board can make a perfect gift for someone and special sets are available which come gift wrapped with little jars of chutney.
As with any food board they should be cleaned regularly and thoroughly to kill harmful bacteria.
